CHANGE IS IN THE AIR
…and things can only get better.
EWW closed 2012 with several major changes to its organization and structure.
Mark Hudson, EWW's newest favorite hero, stepped up from prompt participant to Prompt Group Facilitator. Mark, an EWW member since 2010 is an accomplished artist, a published poet and an avid writer of satire and prose. He has been successfully moderating the bi-monthly Prompt Group sessions since August and has contributed his short stories to the EWW site in the recent past.
Ross Martinek, a long-time EWW member and author closed out the year at his post as Chief of Critique Group. Ross has been organizing the bi-monthly Critique Group in an official capacity since 2011. Unofficially, he has tirelessly attended Critique group and provided support to EWW in a variety of ways since 2007. Ross has been instrumental in helping EWW members achieve their writing goals.
In addition to realizing a personal goal of publishing her newest novella, When Good Toys Go Bad, EWW Founder, Debbie Fligelman has plans for an interesting and expansive 2013 for EWW and its members. "I'm taking EWW to the next level," she says. Part of this process for Debbie has been a restructuring of EWW as an organization. A new Board of Directors is in place to further the EWW agenda of providing encouragement and educational opportunities for writers, expanding membership reach and developing mutually beneficial relationships within the publishing industry.
Further plans for an outstanding 2013 for EWW include resuming the monthly workshops, launching a new website and a searchable member database, expanding EWW membership.
